Hey guys!
Things have been extremely busy lately between work, photo adventures, and the family so I haven't been doing much returning comments or favorites. I plan to get back to most of you sometime within the next couple of days.
I have recently shot some images of Nebraska tailgating and stadium pano's during the Nebraska vs. Oklahoma victory. The atmosphere was absolutely electric and my voice and ears still hurt the next day as I was outside in the stands for that one. I will be attending the Nebraska vs. Kansas State game this weekend and will try to get on the sideline or atleast on the photo deck so look for a nifty little series about Nebraska football soon.
I also went down to Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge on Monday to possibly photograph heavy snow with eagles and birds. Conditions were miserable, with visibility falling to less than 1/4 mile and haze in the heavy snow. We didn't see many birds and another issue was using a tent rain cover to try to keep up dry while shooting out of the car, the snow kept blowing up onto our lenses and soon started causing issues with our lens contacts so we abanded that idea. It quickly turned into a snow chase as we followed a band producing nearly 2 inches per hour.
Lastly, last night I headed out to hopefully catch the tail end of the Leonid meteor shower as the radiant rose over Nebraska around local midnight. I only captured one great meteor, but shot a nice star trail and time lapse which you can watch here:
[link]Look for all of those photos soon, and please let me know what you think about the time lapse, its something I would like to try more of in the near future.
Thanks for the support!
